Last week, it was my pleasure to join @RepKevinMullin in welcoming students from Aptos Middle School in San Francisco to the Capitol.   My advice to them: there has never been anyone in the history of the world like you, so be yourself – and know your power!

It was with the deepest respect and sadness that I learned of the passing of Senator Bob Graham: a patriotic American and a great Member of the United States Senate. Paul and I extend our sympathy to his entire family, with gratitude for his distinguished public service.

America’s support for Israel’s security is resolute as we condemn Iran’s horrible attacks. Our commitment to the Israeli people and support of their defense remains unwavering – and we must pass the Senate’s national security supplemental.

It was a joy today to meet San Francisco's Congressional App Challenge winner: middle school student Shreya Aghi!   Shreya's app, "Teen Tobacco Termination," informs teens and their families about tobacco use and offers resources to help quit. Congratulations, Shreya!

Today, we celebrate 163 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between U.S. and Italy. As a daughter of Italy, I take pride in our heritage and salute our enduring alliance to defend democracy and promote peace around the globe.
