Jim Simons was an extraordinary mathematical mind and impactful philanthropist, who devoted his life to expanding our understanding of the world around us and solving our most complex challenges. His sad passing is a tremendous loss for science, for America and for the world.

The sad news of the passing of Bay Area Congressman Pete McCloskey was received with great sorrow by so many who viewed him as a visionary, courageous & patriotic American. As a champion for our environment and peace in the world, he brought honor to California and our country.

On National Fentanyl Awareness Day, we focus on the immense human cost of overdose across America. That's why I'm working with @TheJusticeDept to combat this tragic crisis in San Francisco by removing deadly fentanyl from our streets and reducing related violence.

On Yom HaShoah, we mourn and remember the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazi Regime.  Today and every day, we remain committed to honoring the beautiful souls lost and combating antisemitism in our time. #NeverAgain
