Joey McGuire spent five seasons on the Baylor coaching staff from 2017-21 before departing in November 2021 to become the head coach at Texas Tech.
He was a great high school coach during my time at Texas and it doesn't surprise me at all that he's worked his way to a head coaching position in the Big 12.
