Saqqara, also spelled Sakkara or Saccara in English, is an Egyptian village in the markaz of Badrashin in the Giza Governorate, that contains ancient burial grounds of Egyptian royalty, serving as the necropolis for the ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis.
