Max Friedrich Adolph Hofmeier was a German gynecologist. He studied medicine at the universities of Würzburg, Freiburg and Greifswald, obtaining his doctorate in 1876. As a student he was influenced by Alfred Hegar and Hugo Pernice. Wikipedia
