Busy downtown neighborhood Los Mártires is known for its shopping malls and Paloquemao, a vast farmers’ market. At grand La Sabana station, tourists hop on a special steam train to Zipaquirá, a nearby city. Colombian heroes, poets, and presidents are buried in the old Central Cemetery of Bogotá, while paintings and sculptures at the Centro de Memoria, Paz y Reconciliación honor victims of violence and war.
