Gran Paradiso National Park is a protected area in the Alps of northwest Italy. Home to ibex and chamois, it has ski runs and a vast network of paths, including the trail from Pont Valsavarenche to Nivolet plateau, which passes a waterfall. The Paradisia Alpine Botanic Garden has native plants, lichen and butterflies. In the north, Parc Animalier d’Introd provides shelter to marmots, deer and birds of prey.
