South of Prague's city center, low-key Braník is set on the eastern banks of the Vltava River. Visitors come to see the Branické Skály rock formation, and to take in rooftop views of the town from the wooded Dobeška Viewpoint. The principal cluster of shops, restaurants, and cafes are centered on and around Branická Street, which also houses the Braník Theater, one of several performance venues in the area.
