The 1979 Tour de France was the 66th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's Grand Tours. It took place between 27 June and 22 July, with 24 stages covering a distance of 3,765 km. It was the only tour to finish at Alpe d'Huez twice. Wikipedia
