The Sacred Patriarchal and Stauropegic Monastery Esphigmenou is an Eastern Orthodox monastery dedicated to the Ascension of Christ in the monastic state of Mount Athos in Greece. It is built next to the sea at the northern part of the Athonite peninsula.
