Joseph Gottfried Mikan was an Austrian-Czech botanist born in Böhmisch-Leipa. He was the father of zoologist Johann Christian Mikan. He was a student in Dresden, Prague and Vienna, and served as a spa physician in Teplice. Wikipedia
