Währing, the 18th District, is an affluent residential area and one of Vienna’s greenest neighborhoods. Picnickers and hikers are drawn to the hills in the west, on the edge of the Vienna Woods. One of several parks, sprawling Türkenschanzpark has ponds, playgrounds and the Paulinenwarte viewing tower. Areas like Pötzleinsdorf have a village feel, while the densely populated eastern section has a more urban vibe.
