Leafy residential zone Núñez is home to Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti, a huge soccer stadium usually known as “El Monumental.” It’s the home ground of River Plate, one of Argentina’s top teams, whose history is explored in an adjoining museum. Other museums include Museo Sitio de Memoria ESMA, with human rights exhibits in a former detention center used by the 1970s military dictatorship.
