Vast Yahatahigashi Ward is home to Mount Sarakura, whose summit, accessed by forest trails or by cable car, offers far-reaching views. Kawachi Wisteria Garden is known for its vivid flower tunnels, while the industrial skyline of Dokai Bay is dominated by the landmark Higashida Daiichi Blast Furnace. Exhibits on dinosaurs and the master samurai swordsman Miyamoto Musashi fill the Museum of Natural and Human History.
