Basahiya is 24th ward of Janakpur sub-metropolitan city. It is located in the Dhanusha District of province No 2. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 4,542 and 737 homes, and the total geographical area of the village was 501.56 hectares. Wikipedia
