Askeran is a town in the Khojaly District of Azerbaijan, in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. Prior to the 2023 Azerbaijani offensive, it was de facto in the Republic of Artsakh as the administrative centre of its Askeran Province. Wikipedia
