A compact area beside the National Mall, Federal Triangle is home to the White House Visitor Center, an interactive museum tracing the history of the US president’s residence. Grand, neoclassical buildings house government offices and the National Archives library, with the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution in its museum. The circular Mellon Memorial Fountain is opposite the National Gallery of Art.
