Gwilym Prys Prys-Davies, Baron Prys-Davies was a Welsh Labour politician. He was a pioneer of the use of the Welsh language for official purposes, and in 1982 became the first member of the House of Lords to take the oath of allegiance in Welsh. Wikipedia
