Vaugirard is a station on line 12 of the Paris Métro in the 15th arrondissement. It is named after the nearby rue de Vaugirard, which in turn was named after the former Place de Vaugirard, renamed to Place Adolphe Chérioux in 1935. The station's name is subtitled Adolphe Chérioux, a former mayor of the district.
