Regenerating Canning Town is home to new residential tower developments, along with Turkish eateries, pizzerias, and fast food on Barking Road. There are hotels and smart waterside restaurants at nearby Royal Victoria Dock, and the dockside ExCeL London centre hosts exhibitions, conferences, and sports events. The Emirates Air Line cable car runs across the River Thames from the dock to the Greenwich Peninsula.
