Sachs–Wolfe effect

The Sachs–Wolfe effect, named after Rainer K. Sachs and Arthur M. Wolfe, is a property of the cosmic microwave background radiation, in which photons from the CMB are gravitationally redshifted, causing the CMB spectrum to appear uneven. Wikipedia
