Lwów Voivodeship was an administrative unit of interwar Poland. Because of the Nazi-Soviet invasion of Poland in accordance with the secret Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, it became occupied by both the Wehrmacht and the Red Army in September 1939. Wikipedia
