Northside

Dublin’s vast Northside sprawls outwards from the River Liffey, taking in districts from riverfront Stoneybatter, with its hip bars, to coastal suburb Howth. Grand, shop-lined O’Connell Street is the city’s main thoroughfare, while cultural attractions include Irish drama at the Abbey Theatre and modern art at the Hugh Lane Gallery. Phoenix Park is home to roaming deer, and gardens surround medieval Malahide Castle.
