Further Information: The subject is from the Apocryphal History of Susannah, 21. The elders threaten to accuse Susannah of adultery if she will not consent to their lustful desires; though denounced, she is later proved innocent. An attribution to Johann Koenig, proposed by Bauch in 1967, is rejected by Dorsch, who regards DPG22 as more probably the work of Thomann von Hagelstein.
