Photograph of the Italcenter showroom designed by Lella Vignelli and Massimo Vignelli in 1982. The Italian Trade Commission wanted to introduce nine Italian furniture firms to the American audience at the Neocon fair in Chicago's Merchandise Mart. Appropriately named Italcenter, the showroom had 10 rooms and the entrance featured 8 foot tall sphere and pyramid in gold leaf. Designers represented: Skipper, Bieffe, Estel, Fantoni, Faram, Giovannetti, Skema, Technolinea, and Unifor. Massimo Vignelli also designed the graphics for the Italcenter.
