Bernardino of Siena was a 15th-century preacher, and was also active as a peacemaker during the wars of the Italian city-states. He was a member of the Order of Saint Francis, and diverse miracles and healings are attributed to him. He was offered the position of bishop of Siena, Ferrara, and Urbino, but refused.
