About The Beta Program

Android Beta for Pixel offers you a simple way to try pre-release versions of Android, and test drive our new features. The feedback you provide will help us identify and fix issues, and make the platform even better. Enrolled devices will automatically receive updates for the latest beta version of Android. What's new?

Android 14 QPR3 Beta is now available and offers Quarterly Platform Releases (QPRs) for the current stable platform that include feature drops, bug fixes, and performance improvements ahead of the public release schedule.

How do I participate?

Sign in to your Google Account to see a list of your eligible devices. When you opt in a device, you’ll be prompted to select the beta program you’d like to enroll in. After you opt in and accept the Android Beta Program Terms of Service, you can start sharing your thoughts with us directly from your device and by joining the Android Beta Program Reddit community.

Before you enroll

The updates that you’ll receive as a part of the beta program are pre-release versions, and may contain errors and defects that can affect the normal functioning of your device.

You will not be able to unenroll and revert back to a stable public version of Android without first wiping all locally saved data on your device. You may also encounter issues restoring a backup. We recommend reviewing the latest release notes for Pixel phones before enrolling in Android Beta.

You can opt out of the program at any time to return to the stable public version of Android. When you opt-out of the program, all user data on the device will be wiped.

During the beta program’s release cycle, there will be stable releases to the public (the official platform release followed by Quarterly Platform Releases (QPRs)). When you apply the stable release update for the version you’re beta testing, you can opt out without a data wipe for a limited time until you apply the next beta update.
