Requirements for Pixel Stand

Phones that work with Pixel Stand

Your Pixel Stand can charge any phone that works with Qi wireless charging, like the Pixel 4, Pixel 5, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, or Pixel 8 Pro.

If you’re not sure if your phone uses Qi, check your phone’s tech specs or contact the manufacturer.

Cases that work with Pixel Stand

Your Pixel Stand can charge your phone through most phone cases that are up to 3 millimeters thick. These cases include:

  • Made by Google cases for Pixel
  • Most Made for Google cases
  • Google’s My Case for Pixel 3

Depending on what your phone's case is made of, your phone could charge slowly or not at all.

Your Pixel Stand can't charge phones through cases that have metal, batteries, or attachments, like mounts or grips.

Set up your Pixel Stand

Important: Make sure you have the 1.5-meter USB-C cable and power adapter that came with your Pixel Stand.

  1. On the bottom of your Pixel Stand, plug one end of the cable into the USB-C port.
  2. Plug the other end of the cable into the power adapter.
  3. Plug the power adapter into the wall.
Tip: When using a different power adapter, you may experience charging rates as low as 5W. High power charging (up to 23W on Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 6 Pro) requires a 30W USB PD power adapter that supports a minimum of 14V, like the adapter that came with your Pixel Stand (2nd gen).

Charge your phone or earbuds

After you’ve set up your Pixel Stand 2, you can charge your phone or earbuds.

Important: On the Pixel Stand (2nd gen), the Pixel phone only charges when it stands up in portrait mode.

To charge your phone, center your phone on your Pixel Stand 2 with your phone screen facing outward.

To charge your earbuds:

  1. Place your earbuds in your case.
  2. Center your case on your Pixel Stand 2.

To learn how to charge safely, read the safety manual for your Pixel Stand.

  • If you’re using a different power adapter: Try a different adapter or the adapter that came with your Pixel Stand.
