Icaria Planum is a region on Mars in the Thaumasia quadrangle. It is located roughly south-southwest of the Tharsis Rise. Icaria Planum is named after the island of Ikaria, where, according to Greek mythology, Icarus fell and died in the sea. Wikipedia
