Mezzeh prison is a now-defunct Syrian prison overlooking the capital, Damascus. Mezzeh is the name of a neighborhood in western Damascus. Both military and political prisoners were held at Mezzeh prison. The prison was an infamous embodiment of Syrian government repression.
