Sillimanite

Sillimanite or fibrolite is an aluminosilicate mineral with the chemical formula Al₂SiO₅. Sillimanite is named after the American chemist Benjamin Silliman. It was first described in 1824 for an occurrence in Chester, Connecticut. Wikipedia
