igniteCS was a Google initiative that provided an opportunity for undergraduate Computer Science students to volunteer in their local community.

From a handful of pilot programs in 2015 to over 150 programs throughout North America by 2018, igniteCS programs have reached an estimated 4,500 young learners. Each igniteCS program was designed and implemented by college and university volunteers who mentored learners in Computer Science and Computational Thinking at K-12 schools in their community.

igniteCS is no longer accepting registrations of new programs or individual volunteers.
