Whistling ceramic vessel that represents a feline-bird ML013676

This is a sculptural ceramic whistling bottle depicting a bird-feline. The whistling bottles were probably used in funerary rituals of community leaders. In this type of ritual objects, air and water converse and produce the sounds that accompany the ceremonies in which different worlds come into contact in the mystery of death. Las botellas silbadoras fueron probablemente utilizadas en los rituales mortuorios de los líderes comunitarios.
