Arts Council England is the national development agency for creativity and culture. Our strategy for the next ten years is Let’s Create and by 2030 we want England to be a country in which the creativity of everyone is valued and given the chance to flourish and where everyone of us has access to a remarkable range of high-quality cultural experiences. We invest public money from Government and The National Lottery to help support the sector and to deliver this vision.

We feel passionately about the creative lives of everyone in England and want to ensure that all voices and experiences are heard and celebrated.

The collections housed on this page showcase work created or curated as part of our partnership with Google Arts & Culture. These projects have allowed different groups across the country to tell their stories and spotlight their work.

The Way I See It presents powerful work created by children and young people in the first six months of the pandemic in 2020. From painting to poetry, drama to dance, music to stop-motion animation, their creativity is boundless.

Culture Through Our Eyes spotlights the exceptional work being produced by Black creatives and organisations across England. Using dance, music, and art, the collection centres on amplifying stories of identity exploring what it truly means to be Black and British.

Northern Stories is the result of a bold pilot programme delivered by Arts Council’s Digital Culture Network, designed to grow the digital skills and capacity of its participants, and to support them to use those skills to showcase the vital work they do in their local communities, exploring what it means to be Northern.
